The Metaphysics Expert Is Forced to Work in The Grave Robbers' Chronicles World

Jiang Jiuli, a chatty modern-day mystic sect leader, is livestreaming fortunes when she laughs so hard she kicks over a spirit-calling banner, then gets struck by lightning and sent straight into The Grave Robbers' Chronicles. The System hands her a hellish mission: break Hei Xiazi's century-old curse and make him say, "Jiang Jiuli is the most important thing in my life." She cries, "That's even more ridiculous than making a rice dumpling dance to 'Love You.'" Their first meeting is so awkward she wants the ground to swallow her. Chasing "ghost fire" through a muddy snake swamp, she crashes straight into Hei Xiazi, who's soaked in corpse water. She blunders into teasing him about the curse marks on his neck, saying they look like QR codes, only for him to shove her back into the swamp. "Touching without permission costs extra. This is a limited edition." To break the curse, she turns tomb raiding into a comedy routine. She slips in a "get rich charm," causing money to rain down in the middle of the night as Wang Pangzi dashes around clutching gold ingots. She holds up her spirit-calling banner to "promote" the curse: "A century-old grudge curse! Order now and get a chest-crushing stone trick for free!" Then she accidentally sticks a lightning talisman to Zhang Qiling's underwear, making the Bronze Gate open ahead of schedule. The mute Xiao Ge silently hands her a bill: "Pay up." Only after using a "love formation" to lock down the curse's core does she learn the truth: it is a "protective seal" Hei Xiazi buried a century ago, waiting for her to be reincarnated. The System blares, "Heart-flutter rating: 99%." She collapses in terror. "Are you going to refine me into a corpse beetle queen?" Hei Xiazi takes off his sunglasses and smiles. "You silly thing. The curse was renamed 'Jiang Jiuli' ages ago. Its nickname is 'Ancestor.'" When the curse backlash hits in Yucun, she dances to "Paradise of Elysium," while Hei Xiazi waves his black-gold ancient blade like a glow stick. During a life-or-death showdown in the Zhang family ancient tower, she traps the Wang family with a formation, and this man actually sets up a hot pot in the formation's center. "You need to eat well to have the strength to love me." It turns out Hei Xiazi has been waiting a century for her, and in this life he's come to "collect his debt": a lifetime of her favor. In the end, he pins her against the Bronze Gate, golden patterns winding around them. "Shall we complete the match our destined love began? One lifetime isn't enough, so we'll keep going in the next."
