My Fair Princess: Swallow Returns to the Fu Residence

During the Qianlong era, dust swirled through the streets of the capital. The young street performer Xiao Yanzi was showing off her impressive sword skills when the thunder of galloping hooves nearly sent her tumbling. The rider turned out to be Fu Ertai, the second young master of the Fu family. She went up to confront him, only for him to offer her money as compensation. “I’m not selling myself!” Xiao Yanzi angrily threw the money back, convinced that this rich young man looked down on her. That night, still fuming, she sneaked into the Imperial Academy to investigate, but accidentally left behind a little grasshopper woven from three blades of grass. The inconspicuous grasshopper sent Fu Ertai reeling. Eight years earlier, out on the grasslands beyond the frontier, a masked girl had saved his life. The keepsake she left behind was a grasshopper just like this one. An old keepsake brings the past into the present, and a fleeting image from years ago becomes real. When Fu Ertai recognizes that the brash, stubborn young street performer before him is the savior he has remembered for years, his gratitude quietly blossoms into something more. From then on, he puts aside his disdain and wants only to do everything in his power to protect her, turning a reunion born of misunderstanding into a deep love that spans the years.
