The Evening Breeze Meets the Sound of a Zither

Summer in Jiangcheng was humid and vibrant. Su Wan, a newly graduated illustrator, arrived in this unfamiliar city with her suitcase in tow. She rented a small room in the old Yunqi residential complex and began pursuing her dream. By chance, she heard a melancholy tune coming from a pavilion at the end of an alley and met Lu Chengyu, seated beneath a lamp and seemingly surrounded by an aura of light.

They were next-door neighbors, yet seemed to live in two different worlds. She used her brushes to capture the vibrant colors of life, while he used melodies to tell the stories hidden in his heart. She hurried to her studio in the morning light; he created alone on his balcony late at night. Their chance encounters came one after another, from awkward tentative exchanges to silent gazes across their balconies, and then to a subtle connection born of art. In the bustling city, two lonely souls gradually drew closer.

When Su Wan faced setbacks at work, Lu Chengyu's music offered her silent comfort. When Lu Chengyu was trapped in the shadows of his past, the warmth in Su Wan's paintings let him glimpse a sliver of light. They shared hot soup in the middle of the night and weathered stormy evenings together. They saw each other at their worst and admired one another's perseverance.

When the colors of illustration met the rise and fall of melody, and gentle devotion broke through a cool facade, they realized that in this vast city, the warmest refuge wasn't some distant light, but the person by your side who understands you, protects you, and is willing to face the world with you.

This is a story about dreams and growth, and a journey of healing and falling in love. After all, no matter how clear the sky or how bright the stars, nothing compares to the light in your eyes, illuminating the road ahead of me.
