Twelve Seconds Ahead, I Became a Time Devourer

Nineteen-year-old Chen Su is a lowly gear worker on a floating island. Born in an apocalypse shrouded in gray mist, he struggles to survive among floating islands powered by coal-fired steam cores.

The sky splits open, revealing a writhing otherworldly space. The rift opens once every twelve days, devouring life and time.

Day after day, he stares into the gray mist and watches his fellow workers die in bizarre accidents. His overseers abuse him, and he is powerless against this cruel order.

One day, he unexpectedly gains the ability to foresee the future, seeing glimpses of the next twelve seconds in his mind.

A countdown appears, and the dead whisper. He foresees disasters and glimpses conspiracies, even seeing himself clutching a rune gear before the towering Spire of the Tribunal.

While others blindly make their way through the gray mist, he can plan ahead, evade death, and edge closer to the truth of the rift.

When a priest comes hunting him with an inverted stopwatch, he has already torn a crack in fate through his foresight and come face to face with the giant eye hidden behind the sky screen.

In the end, he will learn that he is not someone who peers into time, but the true name time remembers: the Time Devourer.
