Sign-In and Lie Flat: I'm the Lucky Star of a Mountain Village

Zhang Dashan returns to his village after leaving the army, hoping to lie flat and take life easy. Then a sign-in System suddenly pops up on his phone. A casual stroll around the village, watering the vegetables, or feeding the chickens can earn him rewards. The System doesn’t make him work; he can do as much or as little as he likes, whenever he feels like it. Yet somehow, every sign-in brings good fortune: a spiritual spring appears in the wasteland behind the mountain, a century-old ginseng plant sprouts by the old house, and the calf struggling to be born at Second Auntie’s place next door grows strong after he casually gives it a pat. The villagers start wondering: how can this lazy fellow be so ridiculously lucky? Dashan knows exactly what’s going on. The System only gives rewards for signing in, and they’re all practical things. There’s no cultivation, alchemy, supernatural powers, or extrasensory abilities. If he wants to farm, he still has to dig with a hoe, one stroke at a time. And so the days pass. He farms more and more land, builds up a bigger and bigger fortune, and gradually transforms the village. He doesn’t want to become famous, but fame keeps chasing after him.
