Haikyuu!!: Shiratorizawa’s Thunderous Duo

Ten-year-old Ling Ye, a devoted Haikyuu!! fan, accidentally transmigrates into the original story. There, a boy with the same name gets into trouble after a clash, and in a moment of crisis, Ling Ye binds himself to the Volleyball Extreme System. He uses too much force defending himself and is suspended from school for a year. During that time, the System puts him through intensive closed-door training, boosting his strength, jumping ability, and other physical attributes far beyond those of his peers. After returning to school, Ling Ye overturns the prejudice that he is just a “violent brawler” with his “brutal spikes.” In an elementary school friendly match, he faces Kageyama Tobio. His overwhelmingly aggressive play leaves Kageyama shaken, but the controversy forces Ling Ye to move to America with his parents for three years. In American leagues, his hard-hitting style proves perfectly suited to a game built around physical clashes. He sets several records, earns the nickname “Eastern Thunder Spiker,” and gradually learns to blend tactics with brute force. At fifteen, Ling Ye returns to Japan and heads straight to Shiratorizawa High, where he joins ace Wakatoshi Ushijima as a special-admissions student. Ling Ye's playful, teasing nature is the perfect contrast to Ushijima's cool seriousness. On the court, though, their “Ling Ye draws the defense, Ushijima finishes” combination forms the most formidable attacking line around. From making peace with Kageyama at the prefectural tournament to solving Inarizaki's two-setter strategy at the national tournament, Ling Ye and Ushijima ultimately win the championship together, ending Shiratorizawa's years of regret. With the System as a supporting element, the story focuses on Ling Ye's growth from a player who relies on brute force to the heart of a team. It showcases the contrasting bond between its two male leads and the fiery determination of young volleyball players fighting for their dreams. An affectionate extension of the original, it also tells the unique legend of “Thunder and Ice Peak.”
