The Stars Reach for the Moon in the Water

[Haikyuu!! female-original-character story. You don't need to have read the original, and there's very little volleyball] [Original female lead + mutual pining + multiple romantic routes + everyday life + beloved by everyone + school life + healing + personal growth] In the eyes of most people, she is the moon reflected in water: cool, gentle, yet far beyond reach, close enough to touch but impossible to grasp. Chizuki Fuyuki, the quiet yet radiant manager of Shiratorizawa, is at the top of her class and the volleyball team's indispensable pillar of support. But she carries a loneliness and strength forced upon her too early, and without realizing it, she lights the way forward for many people. To Wakatoshi Ushijima, she is the harbor he has known since childhood, someone he needs to protect. To Hajime Iwaizumi, she is a steadfast, dependable friend. Tendou Satori can still almost feel the warmth of her touch as she bandaged his fingers. The Miya twins met her by chance in Hyogo Prefecture and remembered her smile. Even Kōtarō Bokuto's corner was once brightened by a piece of candy from a stranger who felt like moonlight. [The precocious solitary moon x the childish shooting star] Surrounded by stars, all eager to draw near, they can touch only a gentle ripple. The moon's reflection in the water remains forever beyond their grasp. Only he, the brilliant yet sensitive and proud setter, Tōru Oikawa, could reach her. Like a blazing shooting star, he barged into her life. He saw the vulnerability beneath her moonlight and fell for her quiet gentleness. He approached awkwardly and expressed himself passionately, but he also made mistakes because it was his first time falling in love. No matter how many stars surround the moon, he will always be the only one who can touch the moon reflected in the water.
