Ling Jun was born in Luoyu Village. He awakened with innate Level 8 soul power and the Soul-Breaking Bow, but an Evil Soul Master slaughtered the village, killing his parents. The Golden Iron Triangle rescued him from the brink of death and directed him to join Spirit Hall in hunting Evil Soul Masters. He studied under Purple Lightning Douluo and, by the age of twenty-two, had reached Level 78 as a Battle Soul Saint. But after Chrysanthemum Douluo framed him, he fled, his Dao heart shattered. After wandering for some time, he heard that Flender had founded Shrek Academy and sought it out. Dai Mubai had just enrolled. Ling Jun decided to “retire” as an archery teacher, but through his time with the people of Shrek, he found the meaning of being a Soul Master again. In the end, he stood shoulder to shoulder with the Seven Devils, uncovered the conspiracy of his past, and protected Shrek’s spirit.
