Love's Fire Burns Away All Longing

"Auntie Xie, the three-year agreement is almost up. It's time for me to leave."

Ruan Li knelt on the floor, lowering her eyes to her bleeding wrist. Her voice was full of bitterness and loneliness.

Xie Ayi, on the other end of the phone, immediately grew anxious.

"Lili, A Lin doesn't not love you. He just doesn't realize it himself. Give him another chance. Wait a little longer, all right?"

Ruan Li gave a bitter smile. "Auntie Xie, I've occupied the place of A Lin's wife for three years, and he's hated me for just as long. I'm really tired."

She paused, then forced herself to speak calmly.

"The person he loves is coming back to the country soon. I should set him free, too."
