After They Deliberately Switched the Bridal Sedans, the General's Eyes Turned Red

The young minister Cui Yan likes women with small feet. I hear he's taken a fancy to the illegitimate daughter of a minor official.

Their wedding is set for seven days later.

After my fiancé, Cui Tinglan, finds out, he disappears for three days.

When I finally track him down, I overhear him talking with his friends.

"Make sure the two bridal palanquins get switched on the wedding day."

"I absolutely cannot stand by and watch Zhenyue marry that bastard!"

His friend thumps his chest. "Don't worry, leave it to us."

"But what about Xuanyi then?"

Cui Tinglan lets out a scornful laugh.

"No matter what, Cui Yan is my brother in name. He knows about Xuanyi and me, so he won't lay a hand on her."

"Once Zhenyue and I have consummated our marriage, he'll be even more powerless to do anything. Then we can bring Xuanyi over."

Every word strikes my heart. I stumble away.

But later, when Cui Tinglan follows the plan and comes to fetch me, he completely breaks down.
