My Airheaded Maid Is Actually the Incarnation of the Heavenly Dao

Once revered as a god among worlds, the male lead is betrayed and killed in a battle to prove his divine path, leaving only a wisp of his soul to be reborn. Tired of endless fighting, all he wants is a laid-back life tending crops and flowers with the slightly airheaded, sweet-natured maid he unexpectedly rescued. But the laws of this world are incomplete, its spiritual energy has run dry, and trouble always seems to find him. To protect his garden and his maid, he is forced to “play the fool while hiding his strength.” Drawing on the knowledge and experience of a supreme deity, he grows divine plants and raises sacred beasts in his little courtyard, casually nurturing the land around him. Before long, he has begun restoring the broken laws of the world. As his power “returns” and the mystery of his maid’s past comes to light, he discovers that she is the embodiment of the newly born Heavenly Dao, and that his death long ago was closely tied to the corruption of the old Heavenly Dao. In the end, the male lead moves from protecting his little courtyard, to protecting the woman he loves, and finally to treating the whole world as his “field,” cultivating an entirely new cycle of reincarnation through the Six Paths. Thus he truly “defies heaven and changes fate,” and completes his ultimate journey to prove the Dao.
