I Farmed at My Taoist Temple and Somehow Grew a New Heavenly Dao

Chen Qingxuan's soul transmigrates to the cultivation world, where he becomes the sole heir to a dilapidated Taoist temple. He discovers that the world's spiritual energy is depleted, the laws of Heaven are flawed, and the path of cultivation has all but vanished. By chance, he obtains a “Mystic Heaven Dao Seed” capable of evolving into a small world of its own. But it is no cheat: nurturing it requires painstaking effort, resources, and insight.

The story centers on the protagonist's “farming” journey. Starting from the Taoist temple, he uses the Mystic Heaven Dao Seed to create his own pocket paradise. There, he cultivates spiritual herbs, improves cultivation techniques, raises spirit beasts, and even makes subtle adjustments to perfect the laws of his small world. In essence, his actions are “growing” the beginnings of an entirely new and complete Heavenly Dao.

This draws the covetous attention of outsiders and the hostility of the existing order's guardians, the hypocritical forces of the immortal realm. Proceeding carefully at every turn, the protagonist starts as a poor young Taoist and steadily expands his pocket world, subdues mythical beings, and meets a mysterious, powerful heroine. He contends with the old world's vested interests for resources and the legacy of the Dao. In the end, he uses the small world he has cultivated as his foundation to reshape the laws of Heaven and Earth, reverse the collapsing chain of cause and effect, and usher in a new era in which everyone can cultivate.
