Martial Arts Sign-In: A City-Slicker Comeback

Jiang Fan is an ordinary college graduate who faces setbacks in his job search and gets dumped by his girlfriend. With no choice but to rent a run-down room, he finds himself in dire straits. Then the unexpected activation of the Martial Arts Sign-In System becomes the turning point in his life. The System rewards him with cash, skills, and more for signing in at everyday and special locations, while its scanning function lets him see through all kinds of hidden information.

As he grows stronger, Jiang Fan faces one obstacle after another. Villainous forces such as ancient martial arts clans and supernatural organizations fear his potential and repeatedly sabotage his efforts to obtain resources and undermine his relationships with his companions. Meanwhile, the System's missions often come with strict time limits, such as requiring him to break through to a higher martial arts realm in a short time and foil the villains' plot to rule the world. When offered shortcuts to power by the System, he is also torn between personal gain and his beliefs, since choosing them could go against his martial arts principles.

At first, Jiang Fan's weak martial arts skills lead to repeated defeats in battle, while the memory of his girlfriend's betrayal weighs on his mind. As an ordinary man from the bottom rung of society, he has few resources in the city and limited prospects. In love, he becomes entangled in a triangle involving his ex-girlfriend and a woman who pursues him. He is also wrongly accused of colluding with the villains, triggering a crisis of trust.

More urgently, the villains are plotting to plunge the world into chaos, and Jiang Fan must stop them before time runs out. Along the way, an opportunist betrays him for personal gain, further damaging their relationship. But with a resilient spirit and help from his allies, Jiang Fan grows stronger through repeated sign-ins and overcomes crisis after crisis. In the end, he joins forces with his companions and foils the villains' conspiracy.
