Your Majesty, I’m Here to Rebel

[Tsundere, scheming workaholic emperor VS absurdly powerful, goofy empress] [Two formidable schemers trying to outwit each other + love and hate + laugh-out-loud, sweet romance]

The newly enthroned emperor Xiao Jing is a workaholic through and through, determined to build a thriving empire. His top KPI: eliminate the powerful Zhenxi General, who has become a threat to the throne, and reclaim his 400,000 troops.

His plan is foolproof: marry the general’s only daughter, lure him to the capital, then trap him! Perfect!

That is, until he meets his new empress...

Lin Sa, the Zhenxi General’s legitimate daughter, is a terror of the Northwest, the face of the halberd, a cultural wasteland whose thought process is even more bizarre than her fighting style.

Xiao Jing sneers: “She’s just a pawn. Let’s see how I bring her to heel.”

Lin Sa enters the palace by imperial decree. Her parents tell her: “Remember the plan, dear! Get pregnant, keep the child and get rid of the father, then rule from behind the curtain!”

Lin Sa nods, halberd in hand. “Got it! Kill the emperor and make my son emperor!”

On her first day in the palace, she nearly demolishes the bridal chamber.

On her Nth day, she tries to give the emperor a “tonic” and ends up crying from the spice.

Her goal: assassinate the emperor. In reality: turn the imperial harem upside down.

Xiao Jing meant to pretend to be madly in love, but instead she gives him a splitting headache every day.

“Empress, this is The Virtues of Women.”

“Can I eat it? Why not spar instead?”

He schemes to take control of her troops, while she schemes to claim his throne and his genes.

Two masters at the top of their game keep trying to outguess each other, only to go completely off track. Amid their hilarious schemes and counter-schemes, sparks fly, with potentially lethal consequences...

When conspiracy meets strategy, and scheming meets goofy chaos...

So who will win this round: will His Majesty reclaim control of the troops first, or will the empress succeed in keeping the child and getting rid of its father?
