When Light Falls, Time Rewinds

He once believed the greatest distance in the world was between life and death. It was only when Fasiluo's warm body gradually grew cold in his arms that Ying Mei understood: true despair was time's irreversible, one-way passage.

“I'll find a formula to reverse time, then return to your side.” This was the mad vow he made to his departed lover, and the curse that imprisoned him in an endless cycle of transmigration.

With his brilliant mind, he invented a time machine and stubbornly ventured into one parallel world after another, chasing a phantom he could never touch. He thought he was saving her, making amends, and defying fate. Little did he know that the ultimate answer, the one that could reverse everything, was not some complex equation derived through the limits of his intellect. It was a price he had never imagined and would never willingly pay: forgetting.

As his memories began to crumble and the details of Fasiluo blurred with each transmigration, Ying Mei finally realized in horror that, in the name of love, he was erasing the last proof that his beloved had ever existed. This was a lonely race against time, and a brutal struggle against his own obsession. Could he grasp that glimmer of light before he forgot everything? Or would he become lost in the maze of time and space, forgetting even why he had come?
