A Promise Where Flowers Bloom in Song

A secret lies at Xia He’s fingertips: when she touches a flower, she can see fragments of memories connected to the person who bought it. Sweet, regretful, ordinary: each is a fragment of someone else’s life. Then a bouquet of white lisianthus lands in her hands. At its electric touch, a scene from an orphanage ten years ago suddenly bursts into view: a grubby little boy hooks his pinky finger with hers and promises, “When we grow up, we’ll open the biggest flower shop together.”

It’s the first time she has ever seen her own memories in a flower. The young man who bought it wears the same white T-shirt as the boy in her memory, and there’s something familiar in his features that makes her heart race. He says, “Someone really likes lisianthus,” but doesn’t say who that “someone” is. After politely thanking her, he turns and leaves, while Xia He stands amid the soft chime of the wind bells, overwhelmed by question after question: Is he the boy who made that promise? Does he still remember their flower-shop pact? And who is the “someone” he’s sending the flowers to?

As a flower-shop assistant, she should be no more than a bystander to other people’s memories. But the ripples raised by this bouquet of lisianthus make her unable to resist searching into the past. As the sweet memories in red roses and the childhood promise in the lisianthus repeatedly intertwine, Xia He gradually understands that the memories hidden in the petals are not just other people’s stories. Perhaps they are also the key to finding her lost past and solving the mystery of fate. Flowers speak, and memories echo. Can she follow this thread, reunite with the boy from that promise, and let their unfinished vow bloom into a perfect ending?
