Embroidered Obsession

The Su family embroiderers can stitch people’s deepest longings into silk thread and help them get what they wish for, but they must never touch their own desires. This rule has trapped Su Jin for five years.

Five years ago, bandits raided the area, and the young general Xiao Ce saved her with his spear. His words, “Don’t be afraid,” became the longing she could never let go of. She kept the Su family embroidery shop, using her needlework to help others while quietly searching for him, tracing his face in her heart a thousand times over.

When they meet again, Xiao Ce stands at the shop’s entrance in black robes, a sword at his side. Su Jin thinks her longing is finally about to be fulfilled, but what he asks for is a “Worry-Free Tapestry.” The slaughter and nightmares of the battlefield are suffocating him, and he wants to forget the past and live as an ordinary man.

She wants him to remember, but he wants to forget. Embroidering the “Worry-Free Tapestry” would sever the faint bond between them, but she can’t bear to see him suffer if she refuses. Worse, a mysterious power covets the Su family’s embroidery techniques, fragments of Xiao Ce’s memories are resurfacing, and Su Jin is being tormented by the curse that “anyone who embroiders their own deepest longing will suffer a backlash” because she has let her own feelings sway her.

As “forgetting” and “longing” collide in the threads, danger intertwines with the past. Can they break free of their obsessions and find redemption?
