The System Forces Me to Play Matchmaker, but the Male Lead Insists on Marrying Me

Lin Xiaolu was an utterly ordinary office worker, until one day she was forcibly bound to the “Red String System.” “Warning! If you fail to bring a true-love couple together within three days, your Host will be permanently bald!”

To save her hair, she tearfully got to work: slipping people the wrong love letters, matching couples at random, and even forcing a musclebound gym bro and a square-dancing granny together!

Then she got on the bad side of Gu Yan, a tech tycoon so handsome it was almost unfair, yet possessed of a decidedly unusual way of thinking.

She meant to set him up with a top-tier star, but he announced in front of everyone, “Lin Xiaolu, you've gone to so much trouble to get my attention. I've decided to marry you.”

Lin Xiaolu: “??? Have you got the wrong idea?”

Gu Yan calmly produced his evidence: the cake she had “accidentally” thrown in his face (she had actually lost her grip), the “devoted” stakeout outside his office (she was really hiding from the rain), and the women's love letter she had “deliberately” delivered to him by mistake (it was simply a packing mix-up)...

The System cheered wildly: “Congratulations, Host! The client skipped dating and went straight to marriage! Double the bonus!”

Lin Xiaolu looked at this CEO who had convinced himself she was in love with him and collapsed, clutching her head. “I was trying to set you up with someone, and you want to marry me?!”

Gu Yan smiled and leaned closer. “You flirted with me, so you're responsible for me for life. Fair enough.”
