He’s Unhinged, She’s a Lunatic: Nobody Can Handle Them on This Dating Show

[Absurd comedy, meme references, sole female lead, sweet romance, entertainment industry, dating show, unhinged antics] Qin Zhao transmigrated to a parallel world and, through a twist of fate, ended up on the dating show “The Dating Process.” At the same time, he activated the System. A dating show? I swore I’d stay single…oh, forget that. I’m here to show you how a “sweet” dating show should really be done. He teamed up with Ye Mingxue, an obscure streamer with barely any followers, and made a point of going against the production crew. They loved doing things that hurt others without helping themselves, earning them the nickname “the production crew’s little yellow minions.” The other contestants: acting cool and handsome, playing up their personas, singing and dancing, making a complete mess of it, and putting on scripted romances that were awful in every way. Qin Zhao and Ye Mingxue’s routine: when the other contestants reached for food, they spun the table; when they went to drink, they hit the brakes; when the director spoke, they chatted over him; when contestants shared private matters, they blabbed about them; when contestants went to bed, they played music in the middle of the night. Production crew: “What have you learned from taking part in this show?” Qin Zhao: “Take life and death in stride. If you don’t like it, fight. The wise don’t fall in love, and if you drown, that’s on you.” Ye Mingxue: “Love is like a job. You might not get to taste its sweetness, but you’ll definitely suffer its hardships.” Production crew: “Then…how have the two of you been getting along these past few days?” Ye Mingxue: “I went deep down his throat and made him puke.” Qin Zhao: “I gave her holy water, and she said I was way too flashy.” Viewers: “You all kept saying dating was awful, so we believed you and broke up with our partners. And now you two are actually dating for real?! Are you out of your minds?!”
