The CEO’s Shackles of Captive Love

When the Su family goes bankrupt and her father lies critically ill, the down-and-out pianist Su Muyan is forced to sign a three-year contract to pay for his treatment, becoming the “captive pianist” of multinational CEO Lu Shiyan. Haunted by childhood trauma, Lu Shiyan believes Su Muyan's father is the “enemy” who caused his mother's death. He treats Su Muyan with coldness and control, stripping her of her freedom and letting his “first love” Wen Zhixia torment her in every way. Even after Su Muyan becomes pregnant by accident, Wen Zhixia forges evidence to mislead Lu Shiyan. He threatens to stop her father's treatment unless she gives up the baby. As Wen Zhixia's schemes unfold, Su Muyan not only loses her child, but is also imprisoned by Lu Shiyan when her father is critically ill, missing her last chance to see him. While sorting through her father's belongings, she stumbles upon an old letter from Lu Shiyan's father and finally learns the truth behind all the misunderstandings: the supposed “betrayal” was merely a lie Lu Shiyan's father made up to protect his son. Wen Zhixia was the one who misled Lu Shiyan all those years ago and destroyed Su Muyan's life. With her heart dead, Su Muyan burns every trace of Lu Shiyan, changes her name, and leaves with her younger brother to start over in another place. She opens a music school in a small town, hoping to heal her wounds through piano. When Lu Shiyan learns the truth, he frantically searches for her in remorse, only to receive a single reply: “We're even.” He punishes Wen Zhixia, but can never bring back the child and father Su Muyan lost. All he can do is quietly watch over her from the small town where she lives. This captivity, born of hatred, ends with his regret and her indifference, leaving behind a bone-deep sorrow and proving that some damage can never be undone.
