I’m a Pet Shop Owner, So How Did I Raise a Divine Beast?

Ling Chen is a part-time worker at the “Nonpareil Pet Shop.” Handsome but laid-back, and a little socially awkward, he only wants to clock out on time. With his memories and divine powers sealed, he believes he's just an ordinary person who can “empathize” with animals.

His true identity is Lingxiao, Crown Prince of the Divine Realm. Unable to bear watching the Divine Realm erase a chaotic young beast with limitless potential in the name of maintaining “absolute order,” he secretly banished it into the space-time vortex. For violating the laws of heaven, his father, the Heavenly Emperor, sealed his memories and 99 percent of his divine power, then banished him to the mortal realm to undergo tribulations as “atonement.” At first, he's a lazy layabout, kindhearted and gentle, with a natural affinity for animals. As his powers return and responsibility weighs on him, he gradually reveals the decisiveness, sense of duty, and commanding presence of the crown prince he once was.

Catchphrases: “I'm just a pet shop worker…” and “I'm off work. If the sky's falling, it can wait until tomorrow…” (Though he breaks his word every time.)
