Reborn in the 1990s: I Became a Chief Engineer at a State-Owned Enterprise

Su Qing, a female technician born in the 1990s, discovers a fatal design flaw in an outrageously expensive piece of imported equipment at a petrochemical plant rife with male prejudice. Risking dismissal, she stands firm against the opposition and insists on modifying it in-house. As she investigates, she gradually uncovers a shocking web of kickbacks between the equipment supplier and the company's top executives. Joining forces with veteran craftspeople on the verge of being laid off, she pits their ancestral skills of observation, listening, questioning, and diagnosis against modern data analysis. In the end, she turns the tide, pulls off a stunning technological comeback, and finds personal redemption.
