Live Ghost Hunting: Lord of the Underworld, Please Behave

To raise the astronomical cost of her younger sister’s medical care, Su Wan, a paper effigy maker who inherited her family’s funeral shop, Rebirth Hall, is forced to launch a livestream series exploring haunted places and pushing her limits. Born with an extremely yin fate and double pupils in her left eye, she can see life and death and understand cause and effect.

During a livestream at an abandoned theater, she accidentally triggers a ghost marriage and becomes bound by fate to a cold man who calls himself the “Seal-Bearer of the Underworld.” He is Shen Yan, who has lost his heart and whose power is unstable. He needs her extremely yin fate to nourish his soul. Su Wan needs his power and wealth to keep her sister alive and uncover the truth about her own bizarre origins.

Their relationship begins as a pact of mutual exploitation, but together they investigate a series of bizarre “bride hangings” in Jiangcheng. As they dig deeper, a shocking conspiracy spanning the worlds of the living and the dead, hatched over the course of twenty years, gradually comes to light: the “Eternal Life Candle” plan.

The cruel schemes beneath her adoptive father’s charitable facade, the truth that her best friend’s sunny smile hides a puppet, the mad lyrics sung at midnight by a mysterious ghost groom, and the layers of corruption within the Underworld... Every clue points back to Su Wan herself: a “living corpse” who should have died, but was forcibly kept in the human world.

When memories from a century ago awaken on the banks of the River of Forgetfulness, she learns that her bond with Shen Yan has long surpassed life and death, etched into their very souls.

This time, she will no longer be a pawn of fate. With a brushstroke she can give a soul its eyes, and with her pen she can rewrite cause and effect. She will tear apart the fate that has been altered, stand shoulder to shoulder with him, take control of her own life and death, and restore order between the worlds of yin and yang!
