Above the Firmament: The Last Shaman

When an interstellar anthropologist who abides by the principle of noninterference arrives in a strange world suspended above a sea of clouds by ancient shamanic rituals, he thinks he is merely passing through, a walking field journal.

His name is Lin Ke. His mission is to record, not to change.

But an ancient ceremony deliberately sabotaged and a void invasion that devours heaven and earth drag him forcibly from his place as an observer.

The mysterious “Dao-Mark Vision” lets him see the nature of this world’s energy, while scientific knowledge from across the galaxy becomes the only weapon in his hands.

Should he uphold the principles of a scholar and watch a brilliant civilization march toward extinction? Or tear up the rules and use an outsider’s wisdom to kindle a torch flickering in the wind?

This is a story about observation and intervention, tradition and the future, destruction and rebirth.

Open this journal, and you will witness not only the history of a world, but the birth of a civilization.
