The White-Robed Doctor Takes on the UFC

Chen Mo is an ordinary doctor in the emergency department of City No. 1 Hospital. By day, he wrestles with death in the resuscitation room and has grown used to partings and loss. By night, he dives into an underground boxing gym in the old district, pounding the heavy bag in protective gear until he is drenched in sweat. No one knows that behind the gold-rimmed glasses and the habit of washing his hands three times lies a man obsessed with combat sports. That is, until UFC strawweight (57-kilogram) tryouts come to his doorstep. He signs up with the thought, “I’ll regret it if I don’t give it a try,” then knocks out professional fighters one after another and pulls off a stunning championship upset as the “Dark Horse in White.”
