I Transmigrated, Yet Still Got Beaten. What Was the Point of Transmigrating?

Xu Damao, an unmarried man past his prime in 2025, got completely drunk after a string of failed blind dates. To his surprise, he transmigrated to the courtyard world of 1956 and became a sixteen-year-old boy with the same name. Barely had he arrived when he ran into Silly Zhu, the courtyard’s “God of War,” who beat him mercilessly for a whole month. People around him, including Yi Zhonghai, Deaf Granny, Liu Haizhong, Yan Bugui, and Qin Huairu, all blamed him for no reason, leaving Xu Damao close to despair. Then, by chance, he stuffed Silly Zhu into a sack and gave him a savage beating. In the heat of the moment, he unexpectedly activated the Emotion System. From then on, whenever he successfully stirred up someone’s emotions, he earned System points that he could trade for knowledge and supplies. With the help of the System, Xu Damao gradually grew from a helpless victim into a force to be reckoned with in the courtyard, carving out a legend of his own.
