I Reforge the Heavenly Dao with a Mortal Body

Once the Origin Immortal Emperor who set the laws of heaven and earth, he fell in the final battle of ideals after being betrayed by his most trusted friend. A wisp of his true spirit plunged into endless cycles of reincarnation. Eons later, the Immortal Emperor awoke in the body of a lowly servant from a minor sect. He had lost all his cultivation, but no one could rival his understanding of the Great Dao. He discovered that the laws of the cultivation world had been altered and left incomplete: spiritual energy was running dry, advancement was monopolized by a select few, and all living beings had become pawns. Taking the name Chen Fan, though he is the Immortal Emperor Haotian, the protagonist appears shrewd yet unassuming. He plans carefully at every turn, drawing on his profound understanding of the old laws to find loopholes in the new ones and seize resources, turning the tables even in desperate situations where he is hemmed in on all sides. As he cultivates, he searches for former subordinates and a loved one lost in the cycles of reincarnation, gradually uncovering the shocking conspiracy behind his friend's betrayal. His former friend did not act for personal gain, but in pursuit of an even more extreme and deranged vision of salvation. In the end, the protagonist will face this old friend, now an incarnation of the Heavenly Dao, in a decisive battle over the world's survival and its future. With a mortal's body, he will do the work of gods and reshape the laws of heaven and earth into a fairer, more vibrant order.
