From the Start, I Traded a Pack of Crackers for the Former Empress

College student Wang Lei is struck by lightning while hiking and transmigrates into an apocalypse, where he becomes cannon fodder in a border army guarding a ruined city as it awaits its fall. Other transmigrators start with a System, but from the start, all he has is half a moldy ration biscuit. With the barbarians surrounding the city and supplies running out, the camp is even using female slaves as payment for men willing to die in the death squad. Wang Lei intends to keep his head down and survive, until he spots a beautiful woman with mismatched eyes on Horse Market Street, being cursed as a “bringer of calamity.” Her left eye is inky black, her right eye silvery blue, and grime can't hide her breathtaking beauty.
