The Infrastructure Maniac Builds Divine Realms for the Gods of the Mountains and Seas

Jiang Sheji was an architectural designer, the king of workaholics and a chronic overtime addict.

After pushing himself to work for seven days and nights straight, he put the finishing touches on the plans for the city center's new landmark, the Tower to Heaven, then collapsed in front of his computer.

He had no idea his design perfectly matched the course of the earth's dragon veins, inadvertently activating an ancient altar that had lain dormant for ten thousand years.

That night, the heavens and earth changed color, and lightning flashed amid rolling thunder.

At the city's highest point, a crimson Dragon God stretched across the sky and slowly opened its slit pupils, gazing down upon the forest of steel.

The world's leaders went mad!

“Who was it? Who awakened the God of Zhong Mountain, Zhulong?!”

The next day, Jiang Sheji was woken by a mysterious phone call. The voice on the other end was grave beyond words:

“Engineer Jiang, the Tower to Heaven you designed has become a dragon's lair for a deity. Zhulong has awakened, yin and yang are out of balance, and beasts from the Classic of Mountains and Seas are running wild throughout the city.”

“We are officially hiring you on behalf of the nation as Chief Planner of Mythical Ecology.”

“Your mission isn't to fight. It's to build!”

“Please design a Shennong Ecological Park for the rampaging Dang Kang, one that will bring bountiful harvests!”

“Please design an upscale Qingqiu residential district for the homeless nine-tailed fox clan!”

“Also, Great God Zhulong says it is very dissatisfied with the bachelor dragon's lair you designed and wants you to expand it immediately into an ancient divine realm capable of accommodating ten thousand gods!”

Jiang Sheji stared at the CAD drawings in his hands, lost in thought.

Other people cultivate immortality by meditating. Me? I cultivate immortality... by drawing blueprints and building infrastructure?
