I Took in a Childhood Friend as My Master, and She Turned Dark!

[Both leads are devoted to each other + lighthearted everyday life + yandere]

“Working a job is the hardest-core way to slack off in the cultivation world!” Chu Ran, the heroine and disciple, was an expert at giving up. She thought that if she could get a core disciple to back her up (even if it meant bending the rules), she could lie flat for good.

Who could have guessed that her childhood sweetheart and sworn enemy, her master Yun Qing, the second heroine, would not only be so broke she mooched meals from Chu Ran every day, but would also turn out to be a possessive, clingy jealous type? [Childhood friends to lovers · rule-breaking master-disciple relationship · lighthearted from the start]

Their daily life was a chaotic cycle of debt collection and bickering, until the possessiveness in Yun Qing’s eyes could no longer be hidden:

“My disciple, my childhood sweetheart. Why should anyone else get to touch her?”

When she finally snapped, the “love nest” she had built with her own hands became Chu Ran’s only home.

Locked away in the little dark room, Chu Ran was baffled:

Weren’t we supposed to be poor together? Why is this a luxury suite? And why does it come with a yandere master who force-feeds and waits on me?

Even more absurdly, the entire sect turned a blind eye? The onlookers said:

“Relax. Wouldn’t you rather watch that side couple, the frosty senior uncle and the adorable junior uncle, shower each other with affection?” [Sweet side couple · the sect approves]
