You Said the Dawn Would Remember

In 2015, on the night he proposed at the Yunding Observatory, architect Liu Chao vanished in a flash of magnetic blue light. The world stopped for his fiancée, Su Qingxue, a trauma surgeon. For five years, her close friend Chen Mo insisted her memories were delusions caused by trauma. Only Liu Chao's old studio held any secrets.

On a stormy night in 2020, Liu Chao suddenly appeared at the emergency center. He left a bloody fingerprint in the shape of an “L,” then vanished. Su Qingxue stopped waiting and followed the code “LATE≠LOST” in his star-chart notebook. With guidance from Lin Wan, an archivist, she uncovered a glimpse of a “spacetime folding” experiment: Liu Chao had become a quantum experiment subject, able to take physical form for only a short time every five years.

When the confidentiality agreement signed by Su Qingxue's father came to light, so did the truth about Chen Mo's falsified data: his younger sister had died in an early experiment. Su Qingxue discovered that her own body could serve as a carrier for quantum resonance. During the final rescue, Liu Chao had to forget the woman he loved in order to survive.

At the rebuilt observatory in 2025, the two looked at each other in the morning light as strangers, yet matching points of resonant light appeared in their palms. The letters they had left behind over the years became a source of energy, and the townspeople continued building the unfinished “Bridge Through Time.” Beyond their memories, their love began to awaken anew.
