Scalpels and Heartbeats

Surgeon Chen Ming begins as an idealistic intern. Through emergency cases where lives hang in the balance, conflicts between doctors and patients, and career bottlenecks, he gradually sheds his naivety and comes to understand that “a doctor must not only heal the body, but also comfort the heart.” As he learns to balance his commitment to compassion with the limitations of reality, he finally finds his own place in the profession.
