Three hundred years into the new era of the Three Realms, the Victorious Fighting Buddha’s name commands the world, the Western Heaven flourishes, and the Heavenly Court wanes.
I am Ling Yun, the last disciple of Lingtai Square Inch Mountain, the personal successor of Patriarch Bodhi, and the sole junior brother of the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong.
Because I carry the Lingtai Daoist lineage, the Western Heaven and Heavenly Court conspired to frame me as a seed of the “Deviant Dao.” They hauled me onto the Immortal-Slaying Platform, intent on annihilating my soul and severing the Lingtai inheritance once and for all.
The immortal blade fell, and my soul was scattered. Yet the Immortal-Slaying Platform not only failed to kill me, but the “Immortal-Slaying Laws” hidden within it merged with my remnant soul, forging an unparalleled “Immortal-Slaying Dao Foundation.”
Reborn from death, I return from the Immortal-Slaying Platform!
With the karma of immortal-slaying in my grasp, I can sever the foundations of gods and Buddhas and see the destiny of all things. Every sin in this world is fuel for my ascension to the Dao!
The Heavenly Court wants me dead? Then I’ll raze your Lingxiao Palace! The Western Heaven wants me erased? Then I’ll bring Mount Ling to ruin!
“Senior Brother, you’ve been a Buddha for three hundred years. Do you still remember…the winds of Flower-Fruit Mountain, the waves of the Eastern Sea, and the staff that could pierce the heavens?”
“This time, Junior Brother will stand by your side, and we’ll wreak havoc in the Heavenly Palace once more!”
