Level One PR Alert

In an age when reputation is worth more than gold, Su Wanxing is the PR world’s “Apology Queen.” She can make a cheating movie star weep as he begs his fans to take him back, and help a business owner on the brink of bankruptcy make a comeback with a single apology letter. Her creed is simple: anything can be fixed with “I’m sorry.”

Lu Chengyu, meanwhile, is a “Level One PR Alert” in her life. Hailed as the “Tyrant of Public Opinion,” he is her fiercest rival. He never apologizes, believing only in crushing his enemies beneath his heel. His dictionary has no “I’m sorry,” only “You’re finished.”

When the “Apology Queen” meets the “Tyrant of Public Opinion,” every collaboration is a disaster waiting to happen.

Su Wanxing: “We should publish a heartfelt apology that shows compassion.”

Lu Chengyu: “No. We should leak his competitor’s dirty secrets so he won’t have time to cry.”

Su Wanxing: “The client needs the public’s forgiveness!”

Lu Chengyu: “The client needs its stock price to recover! Shut up and listen to me.”

Forced to work together, these two top experts with completely opposite philosophies tackle one earth-shaking PR crisis after another. From secret romances involving top-tier stars to inheritance disputes among wealthy families, they match wits amid the cut and thrust of public opinion, and through their verbal sparring, catch glimpses of each other’s truest selves.
