After I Transmigrated, I Rose Through the Ranks by Reporting My Colleagues

Xu Zhengyi, a failed bar exam candidate, transmigrates to the Dynasty of Legal Codes, where the laws are so specific that officials must sneeze in the manner prescribed by the Ritual Office's Sneeze Regulations.

Even more absurdly, successful informants can take the accused's official post!

Putting his modern legal knowledge to use, he exploits every loophole he can find: he reports the Minister of Rites for “stepping with his left foot first during a sacrifice, in violation of Article Three of the Rites Department's Rules of Walking,” and impeaches a general for “exceeding the permitted number of armor scales under the supplementary provisions of the Military Equipment Law”…

Just as he's about to become a top-ranking official, he discovers that the female emperor has been itching to deal with these old diehards. Has he actually become His Majesty's “legal assassin”?
