The Yin Emperor Rises: The Legend of the Underworld's Founding

“Hmph! A useless nobody like you thinks you can be betrothed to my sister? Get lost while you still can!” A shrill voice suddenly rang out from beyond the door. The door was flung open, and a lavishly dressed young man strode in with disdain written all over his face, followed by several equally haughty lackeys. Lin Yu recognized him as Zhao Yang, his fiancée's older brother.

Humiliated like this, Lin Yu felt a blazing fury rise within him. But he knew the gap in their abilities was too great, so he could only suppress his anger and silently swear to change everything. Just then, a cold electronic voice abruptly rang out in his mind: “Underworld Emperor System successfully bound. Host can earn points by completing missions and subduing ghosts. Points can be used to build the Underworld.”

Lin Yu was both shocked and delighted. The System had come at just the right time! He took a deep breath, calmed himself, and decided to follow the System's instructions. That night, under cover of darkness, Lin Yu slipped out of the sect and headed for a gloomy mass grave. Weeds grew everywhere, lonely graves stood in rows, and mournful ghostly cries rang out now and then, making his hair stand on end.

Lin Yu proceeded cautiously through the mass grave when a shadow suddenly flashed past him. His heart tightened, and he immediately went on alert. A ghostly figure slowly materialized, its entire body glowing an eerie green. With a hideous face and claws bared, it lunged at Lin Yu. Though terrified, Lin Yu thought of the System's mission and the vow he had made, gathered his courage, and faced the ghost.
