Fortune-Telling Livestream: Beware of Being Marked by the Rules

[Livestreaming / Fortune-telling / Light ensemble cast / No romance / Suspense / Randomly acquired golden fingers / Episodic stories] Qingzhu, an ordinary office worker, was celebrating after her family called her home to attend a relative’s funeral when she got into a car accident on the way back. None of the forty-five people on the bus survived. From that day on, Qingzhu’s life changed. First, a strange little child gave her a palm-sized lamp, pitch-black all over.

Its wick couldn’t be lit by any physical means.

Then she was forcibly bound to some kind of wish list.

From then on, people’s heads appeared in her vision marked with one of two colors, red or blue.

The two marks carried rules of life and death.

She became a volunteer for the Lamp God, helping him fulfill the wishes of everyone who bore a mark in exchange for the right to intervene.

At first, she didn’t want to enter a vortex she couldn’t see through. Then, for the sake of her comatose grandfather, she charged ahead and desperately sought medicine.

Together with the chattering, contrary Lamp God, she went through countless ordeals. She gave countless people on the brink of death a chance to live. But after obtaining the medicine, she discovered that the meaning of her role as a volunteer had been redefined.

She had willingly chosen the path of redemption and pressed forward of her own accord. Then she learned a secret from the chosen heroine.

The rift in her family and the so-called redemption became nothing but a laughable joke. Another side of the Wish Lamp was revealed to her. As Qingzhu’s sense of self-worth collapsed, she gouged out her own eyes.

One blue and one red shadow fell to the ground. The white cat, a blue-eyed enforcer who punished evil, was refined and languid, like an elegant young nobleman. The Fire Phoenix of the Punishment Bureau was scarlet from head to toe, as proud as a female general. As Qingzhu knelt on the ground, blood seeping from her empty eye sockets, a long, slender finger lifted her chin. A cold voice said, “Now that you have eyes, tell me: can you see everything clearly?”
