Nuwa: Mother Goddess of Humanity

The Primordial Green Lotus bore me; I molded earth into humans and attained Sagehood. I was once the Holy Mother revered throughout the Primordial World, a Sage who mended Heaven and saved the world. Until blood stained the calamity of the Lich War, and humanity, the people I had created with my own hands, became pawns of the Heavenly Dao. Fewer than one in ten survived. Only then, when I glimpsed the cold truth in the Zixiao Palace, did I understand: The so-called Heavenly Dao was a puppet of an outer god that devoured all living things. Attaining Sagehood through merit? Nothing but shackles used to harvest faith. The fated calamity? Nothing but a platter for it to chew up the world. When the Investiture of the Gods War began, I watched coldly as the Sages manipulated the people. King Zhou's poem? Good! I'll use the Three Demons of Xuanyuan Tomb as blades and throw your “heavenly fate” chessboard into chaos. When the Primordial World shattered and baleful energy soared to the skies, my Red Silk Ball burst apart, and the Sheji Diagram turned inside out. The Primordial Green Lotus blazed from within my bloodline. My bloodied Sage's body shattered the void, and I laughed scornfully at the Three Pure Ones and the other Sages: “Fellow Daoists, will you follow me... and strike down Heaven?!” If compassion cannot save all living things, then I'll overturn this false Dao and remake Heaven and Earth...
