The Heroes of Wagang

At the end of the Sui Dynasty, chaos engulfed the land and war fires blazed everywhere. Emperor Yang of Sui ruled like a tyrant, while heroes across the realm dreamed of restoring order. Qin Qiong of Jinan Prefecture roamed the martial world with a pair of gold-plated maces. His famed “hidden mace” technique was unmatched, yet his righteous decision to free a loyal official left him in dire straits. In Erxian Manor, Shan Xiongxin's bloodstained Zaoyang spear had claimed countless lives, while his unshakable honor drew heroes to his side. Young Luo Cheng of Beiping was brilliant and fearless, and the cold gleam of his “turning-horse spear” struck terror into men and spirits alike. The Demon King of Chaos, Cheng Yaojin, cleaved through the turmoil with his flower-bladed axe, whose three-strike technique concealed the secret to breaking enemy formations.

When these heroes gathered at Wagang, their ranks spread like sparks becoming a prairie fire. They raided grain routes to feed the starving, smashed through Sui camps to rescue the loyal, and fought tyranny with chivalrous hearts, forging a legend with iron horses and clashing blades. Qin Qiong's loyalty, Shan Xiongxin's fierce resolve, Luo Cheng's boldness, and Cheng Yaojin's valor ignited the blood-soaked martial world of the late Sui Dynasty.

Here are the ultimate duels of twin maces against a battle lance beneath the moon, the youthful daring of a spear that takes on seven heroes in a reed marsh, and the life-and-death bonds sworn in the Hall of Brotherhood. From the flames at Black Wind Pass to the war fires of Luoyang, they defied imperial law not for titles or power, but for the four words: “peace beneath heaven.” When the heroes' horses trampled the Sui Dynasty's setting sun, the bloodstained flower-bladed axe, the frost-covered silver spear, and the golden maces that defended the people would be immortalized in the history books: the greatest heroes fight for their country and their people.
