If Gong Yuanzhi Were a Wufeng Assassin: The Bitter Crossing

After the battle between the Gong household and Wufeng at the palace gates, Gong Yuanzhi finally earns his elder brother's trust. Just when Gong Shangjue thinks everything is under control, Gong Yuanzhi deals him a devastating blow. At first, Gong Shangjue doesn't know his younger brother is behind it. He only learns the truth from a message sent to a Gong household outpost by Yun Weishan, who escaped Wufeng but was on the brink of death. The message reveals that ten years ago, besides Madam Wuji, another assassin was hiding within the Gong household.

Over the course of ten years, Gong Shangjue taught "Gong Yuanzhi" how to feel joy and sorrow, and how to love. But Shangguan Qian's arrival shattered the illusion that "Gong Yuanzhi" had been lost in: that he was the one receiving Gong Shangjue's "one-of-a-kind" affection.

Ten years have passed. He has long since come to think of himself as the real Gong Yuanzhi, and he has severed ties with Wufeng. But only when the person he loves most falls for someone else does he understand: those from Wufeng have no right to speak of love. Even if he wins against Shangguan Qian, he has also lost to her.
