Forget Not the Vast Sea

A hundred years ago, demons wreaked havoc in the human realm. The Four Divine Beasts, the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise, protected the peace of the human realm and used their divine power to seal the Demon King beneath Mount Buyou. The demon realm was left badly weakened after the great battle. Later, the four Divine Beasts turned to stone and were scattered across the four cardinal directions of the capital, guarding the human realm and preserving a century of peace. But the demon realm has remained restless all these years. It is now fractured, and many powerful figures among its clans are vying for the throne of the new Demon King, with internal strife raging on. Then, in recent days, Mount Buyou began to stir, and the moon hanging above it turned blood-red. Several human villages were also plagued by rats. These signs all pointed to the possible emergence of a fearsome demon beast, drawing the attention of both the demon realm and humanity.
