Infinite Flow: Where Starlight Cannot Reach

Beneath the dazzling starlight that captures everyone’s attention, in places beyond the camera’s view, lies the stage for genuine emotion and contest. [Welcome to the Threshold.] [This is the initial safe zone. You have thirty minutes. Please read and understand the rules below carefully. They will determine whether you live to see the next sunrise.] [Rule One: Make sure you remain within the stable coverage of a light source. Unknown things lurk in the dark. They hate steady light, but are drawn to sources that flash violently or move. Your current “initial light sources” are the main living-room light (malfunctioning, stability uncertain) and the light from this book itself. Find or confirm other stable light sources as soon as possible.] [Rule Two: Do not attempt to leave the enclosed space where you first appeared until you confirm the appearance of a “Portal.” A “Portal” is a door with the same design as the existing doors and windows, but made of material patterned with a combination of wood grain and vein-like lines, and fitted with a bronze doorknob. Forcing your way through anywhere other than a “Portal” is at your own risk.] [Rule Six: You are not alone. But be careful when identifying your “companions.” Reliable companions will bring up the rules themselves and follow them. If you encounter anyone claiming that “the rules are a hoax” or trying to lead you to break any of the rules above, keep your distance at all costs and seek shelter beneath a stable light source.] [Rule Seven: This book has a limited number of pages and cannot be damaged. It will disappear when all its pages are filled or the thirty-minute preparation period ends, whichever comes first. Make sure you memorize all the rules before then.] [Survive, then explore. Good luck.]
