Lin Xiaochuan, a good-for-nothing outer sect disciple of the Qingyun Sect, is regarded by his fellow disciples as a "useless servant" because of his naturally weak spiritual energy. By chance, he activates the "Lie-Flat Sign-In System." Every day, he can sign in at designated locations within the immortal sect, such as the Sword Tomb, herb garden, and Scripture Pavilion, to receive cultivation techniques, pills, and spirit weapons. While he lies flat and slacks off, his spiritual energy accumulates automatically at ten times the normal rate. As his sign-in count grows, Lin Xiaochuan's strength skyrockets. He face-slaps a hypocritical senior brother, a jealous junior brother, and a scheming junior sister, while catching the attention of several heroines: a gentle healer, a bold female escort, a graceful young lady, and a cold, beautiful female general. With his goofy antics, he settles disputes within the immortal sect, fights off demonic armies, and resolves crises across the Three Realms. In the end, he becomes an Immortal King and finds both love and friendship.
