Dragon Ball: Searching for Companions

Long, long ago, a mysterious legend spread throughout the world: the seven Dragon Balls created by the gods were scattered far and wide. Anyone who gathered them and recited the incantation could summon the Divine Dragon and have a wish granted.

Bulma, a stylish girl with a taste for adventure, ventures deep into the mountains alone with her Dragon Radar to search for the Dragon Balls. There, she happens upon Sun Wukong, a twelve-year-old boy who lives in the mountains. Though young, Wukong has remarkable skills and abilities beyond those of an ordinary person. After a series of twists and turns, the two set off together on a wondrous journey to find the Dragon Balls.

Meanwhile, in the distant Kingdom of Gurumans, the land is rich in precious rubies. Driven by greed, the king's soldiers drive the people from their homes and recklessly destroy their fields. After indulging in every delicacy under the sun, the extravagantly wasteful king suddenly gets the idea that he wants to taste the Divine Dragon's flesh, so he joins the race for the Dragon Balls.

Along the way, Bulma and Wukong meet Master Roshi, who is lecherous; Oolong, who loves taking advantage of others; Yamcha, who gets shy whenever he sees a woman; and the arrogant monk Krillin, among other companions. They have all kinds of adventures and strange encounters, and get caught up in one hilarious incident after another. Of course, many villains also seek the Dragon Balls to satisfy their selfish desires, leading to a series of fierce battles with Wukong and the others.

Eventually, Wukong and his companions arrive in a ruby-producing region, where a local population is being enslaved by a certain army over its rubies. The army's leader is also collecting the seven Dragon Balls. Working together, the group defeats the army. Once all seven Dragon Balls are gathered, the Divine Dragon is successfully summoned, and a local girl makes a wish for there to be no more rubies
