The Top Dog of Jinmen

Zhang Jinsheng, an overworked office drone raised by the Haihe River, had his soul knocked out of him by a mouthful of jianbing guozi.

When he opened his eyes again, he had become Huo Yuanjia, the unconscious second young master of the Huo family.

In late Qing Tianjin, fists and feet were the hard truth, and the docks were a battleground where lives were at stake.

Staring at the frail, sickly boy in the mirror, Zhang Jinsheng wanted to cry: “So this is the great hero of Tianjin? He can’t even handle a jianbing!”

To stay alive, he had no choice but to grit his teeth and take up the name “Huo Yuanjia.”

With the cunning of a modern man and the reckless streak of a true Haihe brother, Zhang Jinsheng fought his way through every crack and tight spot.

“Lost-Track Fist? This stuff needs a scientific training method!” He secretly improved the family’s martial arts.

As the name “Huo Yuanjia” grew ever louder, the real threat finally began to emerge.

A storm in the martial world was about to sweep across Tianjin, and this “fake” hero of the city was right in its path.

Would he become the real Huo Yuanjia, or be beaten back to his true self?

The Haihe’s waters run deep and still; in Tianjin’s arena, every bout is a fight to the death.
