The Crematorium Dormitory on Ghost Festival Night

[On the fifteenth night of the seventh month, don’t open the door to Room 404 without good reason.]

At Qing Teng University, a strange taboo surrounds the old, dilapidated Room 404 dormitory on the fifteenth night of the seventh month. On Ghost Festival, the bold Su Yao leads her roommates in a “spirit-summoning game,” awakening a slumbering grudge. A faint smell of burning becomes the beginning of a nightmare they can never escape.

Lin Wan is the first to notice that something is wrong: a charred figure flickering past in the mirror, a cold gaze beside her bed in the dead of night, and burn marks that mysteriously appear as words on her diary pages... “It” is back, bringing the scorching heat of a crematorium and the icy chill of deathly silence.

Her roommates suffer one bizarre incident after another. Su Yao is burned by invisible flames in her dreams, Chen Wei’s meticulous reasoning is disrupted by supernatural forces, and Zhao Xiaoyu is terrified night after night, on the verge of collapse. Sealed files reveal a horrifying truth: on the same day ten years ago, a mysterious “corpse-burning case” took place in Room 404. The victim’s identity was unknown, and nothing remained at the scene but ashes...

As the next fifteenth night of the seventh month draws near, the temperature in Room 404 swings between hot and cold, and the smell of burning fills the air. The invisible “it” closes in step by step, intent on dragging the four girls into the abyss and completing the unfinished “sacrifice” from years ago.

Was it a coincidence? A curse? Or a vengeful spirit coming to claim their lives?

Lin Wan and her roommates must race against time, piecing together the truth that was burned away amid layers of shadowy figures and campus rumors. Can they break the deadly cycle of “The Corpse-Burning Dormitory on Ghost Festival”? Or will they become the latest pages in the Ashen Diary?

On the fifteenth night of the seventh month, the taboo is broken and the flames of resentment burn anew. This time, you’re next.
