Qing Huan's Memoirs of the Palace

A Tale of Qing Huan in the Palace: An Emperor’s Legendary Love Story The much-anticipated palace romance A Tale of Qing Huan in the Palace has recently been officially published. This novel tells a moving story that crosses the boundaries of power and love, tracing the twists and turns of the romance between Emperor Fu Ciyuan and the talented Shen Qinghuan in delicate prose. The story begins with the happy days of their childhood. Shen Qinghuan and Fu Ciyuan grew up together, innocent and inseparable. But fate had other plans. When Fu Ciyuan obeyed the late emperor’s edict and married Shangguan Yue, he had yet to realize that he had already fallen for Shen Qinghuan. There was more to this political marriage than met the eye: Empress Shangguan’s heart belonged to the general Luo Sang, and she and the emperor were husband and wife in name only. When Shen Qinghuan enters the palace as a talented beauty, the gears of fate begin to turn. As they spend more time together, their hearts gradually draw closer, and Shen Qinghuan gives birth to twins, a boy and a girl. By then, Fu Ciyuan finally understands his true feelings. The perceptive Empress Shangguan also chooses to fake her death and leave the palace, eloping with the man she loves, Luo Sang. To prove his sincerity, Fu Ciyuan resolutely dismisses his harem and devotes himself solely to Shen Qinghuan. In the peaceful years that follow, they have two more lively and adorable princes. Of their four children, the eldest is exceptionally gifted and eventually inherits the throne. Having accomplished all he set out to do, Fu Ciyuan retires from court with his beloved wife, Shen Qinghuan. As the retired emperor and empress dowager, they travel the world and visit its famed mountains and rivers, making their love story a celebrated legend. One especially noteworthy point is that the novel strictly adheres to the “pure relationship” premise, with an emotionally sincere and moving romance between the leads.
