Shennong Returns

Modern agriculture professor Zhao Xing dies of old age and transmigrates into the world of cultivation.

From the start, he is a hundred years old, at the ninth level of Qi Refining, with his lifespan nearly exhausted. He clings to half an acre of poor farmland, barely scraping by.

Everyone thinks he is a useless old man who could drop dead at any moment.

But Zhao Xing looks at the spiritual fields before him and smiles.

“Weeds everywhere, compacted soil, crops planted too close together... You call this farming?”

“Golden finger awakened: plant crops in reality, and the space returns tenfold.”

“I hand over a tenth of the chaff to the sect and keep nine-tenths of the finest spiritual grain for myself!”

While his fellow disciples are still congratulating themselves over a yield of a hundred jin of spiritual grain, perfect spiritual rice is piled in mountains inside Zhao Xing’s space, tens of thousands of jin of it.

While the sect’s geniuses are still fighting tooth and nail over a single Foundation Establishment Pill, Zhao Xing has already used an ocean of resources to force his way to becoming a Golden Core Ancestor.

He cultivates ancient spiritual roots, tames peerless ferocious beasts, and improves the sect’s ten thousand mu of spiritual fields.

Alchemists beg for his herbs, while artifact refiners bring him magical treasures in exchange for a single spiritual fruit.

When disaster threatens to destroy the sect, everyone thinks all is lost.

A simple old farmer strolls out from behind the mountain.

With a wave of his hand, countless sword grasses surge into the sky, blotting out the sun.

He stamps his foot, and the earth’s dragon veins answer his call, making him impervious to all arts.

Only then do people realize:

That unremarkable old farmer has, without anyone noticing, turned the entire world of cultivation into his own backyard garden.
