The Marquis Barges In, and the Princess Blushes!

A sweet romance [childhood sweethearts + marriage first, love later + devoted to each other] [scheming marquis ✖️ spirited commandery princess]

When Young Marquis Xie receives the imperial decree ordering his marriage, his fingertips nearly dig into the cracks between the bricks. His sworn enemy, Commandery Princess Zhao Mingwei, smashes every piece of porcelain in the room. “Who would marry that bastard!”

That night, he slips in through the window and pinches her chin with a cold laugh. “So the princess can cry after all?”

She swings an inkstone at his chest. “Get out!”

But he catches her wrist and pulls her into his arms. His warm chest vibrates against her, making her ears ring. “Disobeying the decree means your whole family gets executed... We'd both lose our heads.”

As she struggles, her fingers brush an old scar on the back of his neck, and she suddenly freezes. He got it smashing through the ice with his bare hands when she fell into the water at ten years old.
