Emperor Yuan: Kublai Khan

The Mongol Empire was founded after Genghis Khan united the tribes. Wherever its iron cavalry rode, people trembled with fear. Under Genghis Khan and his descendants, the Mongol armies launched numerous large-scale campaigns westward and southward, continually expanding their territory. But as the empire grew, internal power struggles and cultural differences gradually gave rise to conflict. Kublai Khan, Emperor Shizu of Yuan, lived in this complicated yet opportunity-filled era. He was Genghis Khan's grandson and the fourth son of Tolui, and showed remarkable intelligence and strategic talent from an early age. Kublai was ambitious, eager to carry on his grandfather's legacy, expand the empire's borders, and build a vast and stable realm.
